The Real Wrap Co were fortunate enough to receive the Public Choice Award at the Bristol Post’s West of England Green 50 Awards which celebrated the work of companies and organisations in and around the South West who are making a positive contribution towards the environment.
We were recognised for the work we are doing to reduce food waste initially through two projects: one which used our waste bread to make beer(!) and another that ensures our food waste is used to create bio-gas which then generates electricity. These projects have inspired the company to look at other ways we can reduce food waste and energy consumption both in the business and by nudging the behaviours of our customers and end users.
Our co-founders Jason Howell and Phillippe Gill were present at the Bristol and Bath Science Park to collect the award along with other companies recognised for their efforts to make the world a greener place.
