Now that’s all getting decidedly chilly out there, scarves are coming out and people are looking for something hearty and warming to fill them up. We have a couple of suggestion for things that will help –
First there’s a toasted version of the ever-popular New Yorker, this time on beautiful bar-marked tostati bread. We’ve called it, imaginatively, the New Yorker Tostati – pastrami, Monterey Jack cheese and a mustard béchamel. It looks great with the pastrami and mustard colours popping out and, the amazing thing is, it’s only 278 calories.
Next up is the Moroccan Meatball panini – British pork meatballs on moroccan-inspired mix of cheddar cheese, onion, apricot pieces, sultanas and a herby tomato sauce with warm spices. Good, hearty and a hint of winter spices – Perfect to warm the cockles on a cold morning.
